Motorcyclist hurt in accident near Bridgnorth

A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a car near Bridgnorth.
The man, believed to be in his 40s, suffered serious hand and ankle injuries in the accident which happened about 12 noon on Saturday on the B4176, near Hilton.
Police said he was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford. The road was blocked for about an hour.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Two community first responders were driving along the B4176 and found a motorcyclist and a car that had been in collision.
“The motorcyclist, a man believed to be in his 40s, was on the floor and suffered a serious hand injury and ankle injury.
“The community first responders assessed the man’s injuries, administering basic first aid and kept him immobile on the floor until the ambulance crews arrived.
“The man was immobilised with a neck collar and spinal board as a precaution and his arm was splinted before he was transferred by land ambulance to Princess Royal Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
No-one else was hurt.
