Telford teenagers locked up after knife attack

Two telford teenagers have been locked up for their part in a knife attack.
The victim was attacked and knifed as he cycled through the Black Country three years after being beaten up in an unrelated ambush by a gang of thugs, a judge heard.
He was riding his cycle along Lichfield Road, Wednesfield, in the early hours when a car drew up alongside him and two young men leapt out, Wolverhampton Crown Court was told.
They drew a knife and tried to tear a ring off one of his fingers, Robert Cowley, prosecuting, said.
Then he was held by 18-year-old Kareem Kentake while the other attacker, aged 15, stabbed him in the head causing a wound that needed at least six stitches.
The pair were then called back to the car by driver Raphel McLeary, aged 19, who drove off, continued Mr Cowley.
Kentake from Hadley, Telford admitted unlawful wounding and possession of an offensive weapon and was sent to a young offenders institution for two years while McLeary, also of Hadley, pleaded guilty to assisting an offender and received a 12-month detention order.
The third defendant was unable to face justice after an accident.
