Telford teenager suffers stab wounds in Madeley attack

A teenager suffered two stab wounds when he was attacked during an altercation with another youth in Telford, police said today.

Police said the incident happened after a verbal altercation between the pair in Madeley quickly became a physical dispute.

The incident happened in Springhill Crescent between 7pm and 7.20pm on Sunday.

Although he was taken to hospital for treatment to the injuries on the left side of his body, the 16-year-old was not seriously hurt.

A second 16-year-old youth was arrested in connection with the incident and he has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
