Pair arrested over Shrewsbury assault will not face charges

Two people arrested in connection with an assault in Shrewsbury town centre will not face criminal charges, police said today.
The pair were arrested following an alleged incident in Mardol at about 1.10am on September 12.
West Mercia Police spokesman Richard Ewels today said no criminal charges were being brought against a man and woman who were arrested.
