Man arrested after cars set on fire in Wellington

A man has been arrested after two cars, including a marked police car, were set on fire in Wellington in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters attended the scene on Haybridge Road in Wellington after the cars, which were parked just 20m apart, were set on fire at about 12.40am.

Chris Ammonds, spokesman for Telford police, said a man in his early 20s was arrested last night on suspicion of threats to commit criminal damage and was being questioned at Malinsgate Police Station.
