Baby taken to hospital after A49 crash in Shropshire

A baby has been taken to hospital for precautionary checks after an accident between two cars on the A49 in Shropshire this morning.

The crash between a silver Landrover Freelander and a Ford Transit van happened about a mile north of Onibury, near Craven Arms, at around 7.34am.

Ambulance crews attended, and the baby and its mother were taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for a checks.

Richard Ewels, spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: “There appear to have been no injuries.”
