Inquest verdict on Long Mynd paraglider pilots

Two paraglider pilots killed in a mid-air collision above the Shropshire hills died as the result of an accident, an inquest concluded.

Verdicts of accidental death were returned on Mr Stephen Paul Allen, 49, from the Vale of Glamorgan, and Dennis Alan Wray, 66, of Otley, West Yorkshire, at an inquest in Bridgnorth.

The two men collided above the Long Mynd, Church Stretton, last year.

The jury heard Mr Wray made a sharp right turn to avoid another pilot and came into Mr Allen’s path.
