Witnesses sought to Knighton attack
Monday 20th September 2010, 11:29AM BST.
Police today issued an appeal for witnesses after a serious attack on a man in a town on the Shropshire and Powys border.
The victim was continually kicked by three other men who had knocked him to the ground in the incident in Knighton on Friday night, police said today.
And they said somebody may have seen something which could help with inquiries.
Police Constable Bill Cowan, of Dyfed Powys Police, said the attack happened at 9.30pm outside the Knighton Hotel in the town centre.
“This disturbance involved three male youths attacking a fourth who was eventually knocked to the floor where he was continually kicked. This resulted in the attacked male receiving a number of injuries to his body and face,” said Constable Cowan.
He said there were a number of other people in the street at the time and an even greater number inside the Knighton Hotel who may have seen the assault.
Anonymous information can be given via the Crimestoppers number 0800 555111.
