Shropshire Council spending to go online

Shropshire Council will publish details of all expenditure over £500 online from next month.

The cash-strapped authority is also scrapping its quarterly Your Shropshire magazine, delivered free to about 129,000 homes.

The council says it is putting in place new ways of keeping in touch.

Leader, Keith Barrow, said: “We’re committed to putting more information on the internet so people can see what we’re doing. This will start in October.”
