Princess Anne to open Shrewsbury business development
Thursday 9th September 2010, 7:30PM BST.
The Princess Royal will be in Shropshire next month at the official opening of a new £1 million business development.
Princess Anne will officially open a new blending and storage facility at the headquarters of Morris Lubricants in Shrewsbury on October 25.
Buckingham Palace today confirmed Princess Anne would also be attending to help celebrate the company’s 140th year of trading.
Andrew Goddard, Morris Lubricants managing director, said: “We are thrilled that the Princess Royal has recognised the importance of supporting a Shropshire family business in its 140th year of trading.
“It’s fantastic news for everyone associated with the company and we all look forward to extending a very warm welcome to our royal visitor.”
The company, which employs 140 people, has invested £1 million in a new blending and finished products storage facility at its Castle Foregate works, which will increase production capacity by 30 per cent.
