Three jailed for Telford break-in

Three people from Telford have been jailed after they broke into a woman’s house, stole her handbag and used her bank card to withdraw £250.
Paul Andrew Smith, 23, of Church Street, Paul Eddison, 33, of Stafford Street, both St Georges, and Naomi Sabrina Wilson, 23, of High Street, Dawley, were sentenced at Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday by Judge Robin Onions.
They had all previously admitted burglary and fraud.
Smith was jailed for 21 months for burglary, six months for fraud and three months for breach of a conditional discharge which was activated when he took part in the burglary, all to run consecutively.
Eddison was jailed for 15 months for burglary and six months for fraud, also to run consecutively.
Wilson was jailed for 21 months for burglary and six months for fraud, to run consecutively.
All three will have time taken off the sentences for time spent on remand.
Miss Jo Barker, prosecuting, said the three had broken into a bungalow in St Georges -at about 4.40am on June 2 this year.
Miss Barker said the homeowner woke up after hearing the defendants in her room.
She told them to clear off and they left with the handbag.
