Man hurt giving directions in Bridgnorth

A 71-year-old man was injured when he was struck by a car while apparently giving directions to another motorist in Bridgnorth.
The pensioner suffered suspected head and chest injuries, as well as cuts, in the incident on the A442 on Saturday at about 10.30am.
He was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.
Claire Thomas, for the ambulance service, said: “The 71-year-old man had reportedly been giving directions to a passing motorist when he collided with an oncoming car.”
