Body found in Mid Wales river

A man’s body has been found near a river in Mid Wales, police said today.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and the man’s next of kin have been informed.
Sharon Reynolds, Dyfed-Powys Police spokeswoman, said the man was found in Berriew, near Welshpool, at 9am on Sunday.
She added that the coroner had been informed and a postmortem examination is due to be held.
An inquest into the death will be opened and adjourned in due course.
