Church Stretton CCTV plan is rejected
Saturday 28th August 2010, 11:29AM BST.
Plans for CCTV cameras at a skateboard park and on railway platforms in Church Stretton have been given the thumbs down by a community group.
Members of Church Stretton Community Group do not believe footage from the cameras would be monitored effectively and have called on local residents to pluck up the courage to report vandals to the police.
John Woolmer, chairman of Church Stretton Community Group, said the police station is around 200 yards from both sites.
