Letter – No tears to shed over clamping firms’ future
Friday 27th August 2010, 11:30AM BST.
It’s no surprise that companies like Simplex are suddenly up in arms about the proposed ban on private land clamping. I imagine their business and employment will suffer.
I doubt many members of the public will shed a tear for them.
Having been a victim of their unscrupulous and aggressive “legalised” tactics, even after I explained my difficult circumstances to them, I have no sympathy for them now.
Had they conducted their business in an acceptable manner, reasonable charges and co-operatively, then this ban might not have happened.
In reality they have behaved just the opposite. What a shame.
