A5 closures end in time for Bank Holiday
Friday 27th August 2010, 11:29AM BST.
Night closures of the A5 through Shropshire for resurfacing came to an end today just as people across the county and Mid Wales prepare for the bank holiday weekend and a host of events.

Alex Evans, 10, gets ready for the County of Salop steam engine rally being held over the Bank Holiday weekend
But the RAC has warned the trunk road is still highlighted as one of the top bank holiday hold-up spots in Britain.
The organisation also warned of hold ups on the M6 through Birmingham and on the M56 to the north of the county.
Coinciding with the last week of the school summer holiday the weekend is the start of a last chance for a holiday for many families.
But for those unable to get away there are a wealth of things to do in Shropshire and Mid Wales.
The county town is staging a folk festival at the West Mid Showground throughout the weekend and the County of Salop steam engine rally at Bicton on Sunday and Monday.
The event, organised by Salop Steam Engine Society, will offer an exciting mix of working machines that capture the history and heritage of farming in the Victorian era.
There will be hundreds of vehicles, a variety of tractors and more than 1,000 exhibits.
Agricultural demonstrations will also be taking place around the Onslow Showground with ploughing by huge steam engines, steam cultivation, corn cutting and harvesting.
Further entertainment will be provided with a range of presentations by bee-keepers, blacksmiths, brick-makers and cider-makers.
A full arena programme on both days will include birds of prey displays and parades of working horses.
