RAF jets fly over the county

Wednesday 18th August 2010, 10:27AM BST.

Planes were flying low over parts of south Shropshire today as part of a military training exercise.

RAF pilots were practising over Ludlow and the surrounding area. Military staff said the training, set to run until 9pm, was essential.

A spokesman said there will be occasions when participating fast jet aircraft will be required to operate at low level and this may include low level orbits.
