He said: “At about 1pm yesterday a collision took place on the A44 near the Forest Inn, Llandegley, involving three motorcycles.
“A 22-year-old male sustained fatal injuries and two other males suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

“We assisted the police in ensuring the vehicles were safe,” she said.
A spokesman for the Wales Ambulance Service confirmed one person had died and two people were treated for their injuries at the scene.
Powys coroner Mr Peter Maddox has been informed and an inquest will be opened and adjourned in due course.
A man from the village, who did not wish to be named, said the road was closed while paramedics were at the scene.
He said: “The road is very popular with motorcyclists at the weekends, especially in the summer as they use it as the main road into Mid Wales from Hereford and Worcestershire.
“I noticed there was a crash yesterday and three bikers were involved and I believe one of them sadly died. The road was closed for a couple of hours and there were a number of emergency services there working at the scene.”
