Peter Andre set for V Festival

Singer and TV presenter Peter Andre has been added to the line-up for this month’s V Festival.

The former husband of glamour model Katie Price will play the Arena stage which also boasts performances from Ellie Goulding and Tinie Tempah.

A message on Andre’s website said he was “excited” to have joined the bill.

A spokeswoman for V Festival added: “We can confirm Peter Andre has been added to the bill and will be performing at V.

“A full list of who is appearing and when will be released shortly.”

The festival takes place at Weston Park and in Chelmsford on August 21 and August 22.

It will be headlined by Kasabian and US rockers Kings Of Leon.

Other acts on the bill include Daisy Dares You and The Pretty Reckless. Andre will be playing the Arena stage at Weston Park on 12.30pm on the Saturday, and at Chelmsford at the same time the following day.

The Australian heartthrob is also due to headline Pop Party in The Park on the Saturday night at Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire.

Tickets sold out for V Festival within hours of going on sale and up to 90,000 people are expected to attend Weston Park over the two days.
