£60,000 Shropshire lottery prize goes to charity

A £60,415 Lotto prize from a ticket bought in Shropshire six months ago has gone to charity after no-one came forward to claim it.

Despite repeated appeals by National Lottery bosses Camelot, the owner of the ticket, bought in Telford in February, failed to claim the cash within the set 180-day deadline, which ran out at 5.30pm yesterday.

The prize will now go into the Good Causes fund.
