Car written off after being pushed down embankment

A car was written off after it was pushed down a steep embankment in the middle of the night in Market Drayton.

The incident happened at about 1am yesterday near a canal bridge in Maer Lane, Market Drayton.

A £4,000 blue Peugeot 307 was parked in a lay-by near the bridge. The owner heard a loud bang and the sound of a car driving off.

Police found his car at the bottom of an embankment and believe it was deliberately pushed over the edge
