Crews free trapped Oswestry boy

Oswestry firefighters used a coathanger to rescue a baby from his grandparents’ locked car.

He was accidentally locked in the car at Morrisons supermarket car park yesterday afternoon.

The keys were left in the ignition barrel and the vehicle’s doors locked the grandparents out of the vehicle.

Firefighter Alan Walker said he borrowed a shop coathanger and hooked it around the keys. On Thursday crews rescued Oswestry woman Veronica Donkin after a broken door handle locked her in her home.
