A 31-year-old Shropshire woman who died just hours after complaining of chest pains was the life and soul of everything she was involved in, her grieving family have said.

The sudden death of Kate Louise Law, from Oswestry, has shocked the community who knew her from her work in the town and as a regular partygoer in the town's pubs and clubs.

More than 150 tributes have been made to the young woman on the internet social networking site Facebook.

Kate died at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital on July 16. The family understand she died from natural causes.

Her parents, Bob and Rose Law, from Weston Rhyn, say they can not believe what has happened.

"She rang us early on the Friday to say 'don't worry but I am in the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital'. She had rung 999 after getting chest pains," Mrs Law said.

"We went there straight away and she was being monitored. She was talking to me but then she just fell sideways and she was gone.

"Staff at the hospital were marvellous. They looked after us so well."

The family moved to Weston Rhyn from the south of England when Kate and sisters, Sharon and Lorraine and brother, John, were young.

She went to Dinas Bran school and sixth form. She had worked for a number of companies in the Oswestry area including the Poacher's Pocket, Baker's Oven, Meadowbrook, The Cheese Company and her employer at the time of her death, Burger King.

Management

Mr Law said his daughter had returned, the day before her death, from a management course in London with the last entry on her Facebook site saying how she had enjoyed the capital, but had been glad to get home.

Her parents said she simply loved life and was the life and soul of every party.

"She crammed more into her 31 years than most people do in double that time," Mr Law said.

Her sisters said Kate was well known as part of Oswestry's nightclub scene and said wherever she was, whether it was in her home town or abroad on holiday, she would always be at the centre of the fun.

Her funeral will be held at the Holy Trinity Church in Oswestry on Monday at 11.30am and people are being urged to wear bright colours.

Donations in lieu of flowers will go to the Help for Heroes charity.
