Rush-hour traffic was brought to a standstill today after two cars were in collision on the M54.

The crash, involving two people in two saloon cars, happened just after 8am near junction three at Albrighton.

The traffic was temporarily halted by the Highways Agency to allow emergency services to reach the scene.

One man, in his 20s, suffered head and back injuries and another man, in his 50s, suffered a chest injury. Both were taken to the Princess Royal Hospital.
