Letter: Anyone else having water pressure problems?
Monday 19th July 2010, 6:00AM BST.
Letter: We live on Telford Estate, Shrewsbury, and despite telephone calls to Severn Trent regarding poor water pressure the problem has not been solved.
Severn Trent report back to us that there is no problem as far as they are concerned with the water pressure in our area.
Are there any other residents in the Telford Estate area who have noticed a reduction or fluctuation to their water pressure? If we could hear from anyone we would like to pursue our query with additional evidence from other residents.

We live in the monkmoor area and we to are having problems with low water pressure,if severn trent officials say there is no problem then maybe they should try using my shower, because showers dont work with low pressure and it’s becoming a pain.

We also live in the Monkmoor area and during the last three weeks or so, we have noticed a general drop in pressure for taps & the shower.
I found this post while searching for reports on this problem and the next step will certainly be to contact Severn Trent.

There is a minimum pressure the Severn Trent have to supply ,I believe it is 2 bar ,there is also a minimum flow but that is also low .Ask for them to check at your premises. All water pressures were lowered at Severn Trent ,less pressure less leakage this means there is less work to do to match government targets on leaks .Never mind if your shower does not work or there is no water upstairs if a downstairs tap is turned on like my house .They are there to make a profit, sod the customers they only pay for the rotten service .D.L.Barnett P.S.
