Police search beauty spot

A police search was sparked in north Shropshire after clothes were discovered in a phone box beside a county beauty spot.
Police discovered the clothing close to The Mere, in Ellesmere, at about 10pm yesterday. A search of the water’s edge was inconclusive and a police helicopter was also deployed.
Inspector Simon Lewis, of Shropshire police, said today: “We are going to carry on a further search today.”
