Letter: Obama’s a-hollerin’ when he should BP a-listenin’

Millions of gallons of oil a day continue to gush from the broken wellhead at the site of the Deepwater Horizon oil well in the Gulf of Mexico.
Millions of gallons of oil a day continue to gush from the broken wellhead at the site of the Deepwater Horizon oil well in the Gulf of Mexico.

Letter: President Obama has stated in a typical uncouth US language what he would like to do to BP (kick ass).

Has it not occurred to the great man that BP is 30 per cent American owned and that the oil rig and well were both constructed by American companies, and the more he kicks BP, the more he kicks his own financial institutions who invest in pensions and also invest in BP. It is not only the British government who will lose tax revenues but the Americans as well.

The price of BP shares has fallen so much that Chinese petroleum is interested in buying BP, and if they do because of President Obama’s knee jerk reaction, then both Britain and America will lose billions if not hundreds of billions in future tax revenues.

So come on Obama, your guys are as much to blame for this disaster as ours, so let’s all work together and sort this mess out and stop passing the buck.

The trouble with obama is that he is not a yank and that he is looking for a second term in office.
BP should pay any demands that the yanks throw at them straight into the Bopal kitty and nat a dime to the good ol usofa.
