Will Chandi win Britain’s Got Talent?
Wednesday 2nd June 2010, 10:48AM BST.
Shropshire’s cutest canine Chandi today looked to be a favourite to lift the Britain’s Got Talent crown after dancing her way to a place in Saturday night’s live final – and the hearts of the British public.
The rescue dog and her owner Tina Humphrey, of Shrewsbury, sparked the loudest applause and cheers of the night as they took part in the latest semi-final of the hit show.
The pair won high praise from the judges as they battled it out with seven other acts hoping to perform on the Royal Variety Show and win £100,000 in prize money.
And it certainly looks as if Chandi could prove to be top dog after emerging as the clear winner last night taking the automatic spot in the final by topping the public vote.
It was left to the judges to decide between singing bouncer Neil Fullard and boy band wannabes Connected to see who would clinch the second spot in the final.
After Piers Morgan gave Connected his vote and Amanda Holden opted for Fullard it was left to Simon Cowell to decide.
He said he would like to see both go through after they had delivered impressive performances but eventually gave the thumbs up to Connected.
