iPod warning to drivers

Motorists in Shropshire and Mid Wales are being warned they could face prosecution if caught using their iPod while driving.
Police across the UK have vowed to crack down on drivers who operate the music device, saying it is as dangerous as using a mobile phone.
In the Dyfed-Powys Police force area officers have fined three drivers £60 each for using their iPods while driving in the past few months.

Could you not argue that with the new in-car cd and mp3 players that they are just as dangerous?

So, please help me get this straight. Are you fined if you are listening to it, or if you are changing songs, settings, …? Two completely different things.
Not sure how the police are going to prove you are not just sat there listening to your tunes, as opposed to being distracted while changing songs, ….

Breaking news …. police warn of huge fines for drivers that use their car for its intended purpose, getting you from A to B. Police claim it’s dangerous and it distracts them from doing their real job of catching criminals.

Yes, if you’re deemed to be not in control of your vehicle.
It would be a bit of rough justice though: I see dozens of people using hand-held mobile telephones whilst driving every day.
