OsFest to draw big crowd

About 5,000 people are expected to pour into Oswestry’s Showground at the weekend for OsFest music festival.

Headline acts Lemar, Reverend and the Makers and the Holloways will take to the stage along with some of Shropshire’s best musical talent.

Bands such as The Kayas and Blyndside, from Oswestry, are among 40 acts due to play on three stages across Saturday and Sunday.

The organisers of the festival are event manager Carly Jackson and Mike Scott, managing director of Seventh Sense Event Management.

Mr Scott said: “Tickets, which start at £25, are still available through our website and will also be available on the gate.

“The festival is designed to promote Oswestry and the local area and to provide a first class music event at an affordable cost.”

That’s a joke – even mentioning glastonbury within the same scentence as ‘osfest’. I am typing this from my caravan as Lemar is about to go on the stage,to perform to about 700 people. Goldy looking chain are just finishing, and mouse has just said ‘ i never thought i’d be warming upfor lemar’.

The event is badly organised, the organisers do not know what type of audience they are trying to attract – i mean lemar, for gods sake. Are we picnic hampers, indie types rave kids ?

There was five, yes five, people in the rave hut while GLC were on – what the hell?

    Sort out your audience.
