Broken toe so no show from TV Katy
Wednesday 19th May 2010, 9:24AM BST.
A show starring TV comedienne Katy Brand, due to take place in Shrewsbury tonight, has been cancelled after the star broke her toe.
The award-winning performer, who has her own show on ITV, was to appear at Theatre Severn auditorium.
Craig Reeves, marketing officer for Theatre Severn, said: “Unfortunately, Katy Brand has broken her toe and has had to cancel several dates on her tour to allow her foot to heal.
“We will be refunding all tickets purchased for this event and apologise for any inconvenience this cancellation may have caused.”
He added it would be unlikely the show would be rearranged because the star had TV commitments.
He said they had sold about 350 tickets for the 600-seat venue. He added anybody who purchased tickets for the show by debit or credit card should call the box office on (01743) 281281 with the details of the card and they would reimburse to the account directly.
If payment was made by cash or cheque he said they would refund tickets in cash.
“In each case, there is no need to return any tickets to the Theatre Severn box office,” he said.
The box office is open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 7.30pm.
Mr Reeves said a few tickets are still available for the Severn Jesters comedy club in the Walker Theatre on Sunday at 8pm.
