Protestors camping near The Wrekin in an effort to stop opencast mining have insisted it is business as usual, despite losing several members.

Not heard much from the ” campaign of civil disobediance ” for a while. Cant be causing much trouble with your one banner one woman stopping the wrong lorry protest, if the local paper even has to remind itself that your around..

Or maybe….we’ve just been busy concentrating on the projects we have ongoing at the camp rather than worrying whether we are headline news in the local paper – kind of difficult to compete for headlines with the election. How about, before you pass snide comments and remarks over something you clearly have little understanding of but a lot to say about, you come down to the camp and see what we have achieved. Otherwise keep you Tory voting, coal baron supporting mouth shut!

Firstly, may I just say … GRAMMAR!!! There is an apostophe in Can’t (see, there it is) and it’s you’re not your.
There is certainly more than one woman involved in the protest … although she didn’t stop the lorry (which WAS the right one by the way), the person who stopped it was unmistakeably a man.
If you’d like to see what is happening at the camp and how we plan to make a difference, why not pop by and speak to someone. We are a friendly bunch.

I am by no means part of what has been going on with the whole protest situation. But to be honest i find it really quite comforting that there are still people out there who are willing to stand up for what they believe in. Regardless of how much press coverage they have or what has been said about them, why needlessly put them down, as the people who are obviously involved stated, without even going to have a look for yourself. I find this mentality really quite ignorant, and if you do have a point to make, why not do it in an articulate and none offensive manner, it really doesn’t make you sound particularly clever or well informed, just a bit smarmy.
Go visit them, see what they are doing for yourself, and maybe then sit in judgement, rather than going about your own life and upsetting people. It really doesn’t achieve very much! This is not an attack on anybody, im just giving the opinion of someone who is totally indefferent about the whole situation. To the people from the protest that have responded, your points are valid but don’t let anyone get you angry, a valid point is much better made from a calm state of mind, you are doing a great job, and more than most people would, so good luck to you!
