Accused faces drugs charge

Friday 30th April 2010, 11:25AM BST.

A 33-year-old man appeared in court today charged in connection with the discovery of drugs with a street value of more than £40,000 at a house in Telford.

Neil Mark Morgan, who appeared before Telford magistrates, faces charges of possessing Class A, B and C drugs with intent to supply.

Morgan, of Burtondale, Brookside, Telford, also faces separate charges of possession.

The hearing was adjourned until May 7 and Morgan was remanded in custody.

The charges follow a dawn raid by police on Tuesday at an address in Lord Murray Drive, Woodside.

A team of officers took part in the raid which police said followed a tip-off from the community.
