Dead baby identity case

Saturday 24th April 2010, 11:09AM BST.

A woman will be sentenced next month after admitting using a dead baby’s identity to get a false passport and claim benefits.

Georgina Sharon Murphy, 53, of Pen Y Waun, Chirk, had previously denied all 10 charges against her.

But at a hearing at Mold Crown Court yesterday she changed her plea to guilty on nine of the charges. The other charge will remain on file.

She will be sentenced at the crown court on May 27.

Murphy was given conditional bail until that date.
