Benefit show tickets for star to go on sale
Saturday 24th April 2010, 10:53AM BST.
Tickets for a benefit show in aid of Shrewsbury blast victim Kiley McDonnell will go on sale on Monday.
A top line-up featuring television stars have already signed up to appear.
They include Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh and former Emmerdale bad boy Matt Healy, who was the star of last year’s panto.
Mr McDonnell was starring in the Theatre Severn production of Peter Pan when he was injured in the explosion on January 3.
He is still undergoing rehabilitation at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire and will never be able to walk again.
Theatre manager Peter Nicholson said: “Kiley will clearly need support of one form or another for many years to come.
“It is therefore heartening that so many showbusiness performers have offered their services for such a worthy cause.
“I am confident that tickets will sell very quickly so I would urge everyone to book as soon as possible.”
The variety show, Big Night Out, will include singers, comedians and dancers from all over Britain.
Tickets are priced at £10 and can be booked from Monday through the Box Office at Theatre Severn on (01743) 281281, at the Old Market Hall in The Square, Shrewsbury, or by visiting www.theatresevern.co.uk
