Wrekin Housing Trust shortlisted for award
Wednesday 15th December 2010, 10:00AM GMT.
The Wrekin Housing Trust was celebrating today after being shortlisted in a prestigious business awards scheme.
The Telford-based trust is in the running for honours in the 2010 to 2011 Midlands Excellence Awards.
Wrekin has a shot at an award after preparing a written submission and undergoing a rigorous evaluation by a team of independent Midlands Excellence assessors.
Ian Nield, chief executive of Midlands Excellence, said: “We were extremely impressed by the standard of this year’s entries and they prove that even in a difficult economic climate, successful organisations are continuing to strive for excellence.
“Everyone who has reached this stage should be extremely proud of their achievement and I congratulate them wholeheartedly.”
The awards programme, now in its 14th year, is based on the European Foundation for Quality Management Excellence Model, a framework for boosting and sustaining all-round business performance.
This year’s winners will be announced at a gala ceremony at the ICC in Birmingham on February 3.
