A former hotel in Shrewsbury has been put on the market to let after being completely refurbished.
The Station Hotel, in Castle Foregate, is available for £40,000 per annum for the whole building.
The hotel occupies a prominent position in the town opposite Shrewsbury Train Station.
It has 10 en-suite bedrooms, a bar/restaurant and an area suitable for take-away use at the rear in Chester Street Pooks Commercial Property Consultants have been instructed to let the building.
Alessio Dyfnallt, from Pooks, is handling the letting.
He said: “The Station Hotel provides a great opportunity for someone wishing to take on premises which have been refurbished to a high standard with scope to further develop the restaurant and take-away provision if desired.”
In February last year the building was put up for sale for £250,000.
The hotel was empty for several months following the closure of the Castelo Mediterranean restaurant.
Shrewsbury historian David Trum-per said the Station Hotel site had had a pub on it since the 18th century. He said the original pub was burned down in 1856 and a new pub built on the site.
