Advice on offer from Wrekin Housing Trust
Monday 8th November 2010, 2:54PM GMT.
The Wrekin Housing Trust is helping its tenants with housing-related issues by offering a series of information days and events this month.
A spruce-up of the area was taking place today between 10.30am and 2.30pm.
The trust’s welfare benefits advisor was on hand to offer guidance on a number of money-related issues including housing benefits and the fair share scheme.
Also today between 1pm and 4pm, there was a consultation and fun day in the Ketley Bank Garden, which was re-landscaped and replanted with the help of trust staff and pupils from Ketley Bank School.
On Wednesday from 1pm to 3pm the school will also have a bug hunt in the garden for all pupils.
The trust will also be present to offer advice again on housing and financial matters from 1pm to 4pm.
In addition, a team will be clearing some gardens and rubbish from woodland areas.
Representatives from Telford & Wrekin Council, the fire service and NHWatch will also be present to give information and advice.
Louise Price, area manager, said: “We would urge anyone who has a housing or money related question or query to come along and speak to one of the team.”
