More than 50 potential buyers made the most of an open day at a Shropshire company’s new development of six luxury eco-friendly homes.

Walnut Renovation and Development, based in Shrewsbury, has taken the wraps off Belin Mount – an exclusive collection of six individually-tailored properties at Crew Green.

And the open day, which was organised by agents Strutt & Parker, proved so popular, that a second event is planned to satisfy customer interest.

The second open day will be held on Saturday, July 17, from 10am to 4pm, at the development site just eight miles from Shrewsbury off the B4393, with breathtaking views over the Breidden Hills.

Walnut managing director, Rob Hancocks, said: “We’ve been inundated with interest in the properties as each one is completely unique and has been designed to draw on the natural elements from its surroundings.

“Every property uses granite, stone, oak and slate as the core materials, but each takes an individual twist on the theme.”

Rob said the company also took its commitment to the environment very seriously and the properties had been built to leave the lightest footprint possible.

“From the collection and re-use of rainwater, to Warmcell recycled insulation, and to the most efficient heating and lighting solutions we can provide, we have worked hard to make the properties as eco-friendly as we can.

“The properties echo the architectural detail that suits the surrounding area and yet internally they cater for every aspect of a modern luxury lifestyle.”

Sarah Williams, for Strutt & Parker, said: “The first open day proved so popular that we just couldn’t accommodate the number of viewings, so we’ve organised a second event to allow even more potential buyers to come along and appreciate just what Belin Mount has to offer.

“There is a choice of four and five-bedroomed family homes, and a three-storey “manor house” with seven bedrooms. All the properties have been individually designed and exceptionally finished, and we’re sure anyone who views the development will be very impressed.”

Walnut Renovation and Development, which was established ten years ago, has a track record of luxury housing developments, both new build and listed building renovations, in Shropshire and Mid Wales.
