Award-winning Vauxhall dealer Arthurs expects the facelifted Corsa to play a major part in what they forecast will be a record new registration plate.

The newly launched Corsa has attracted significant interest resulting in many orders being placed for the new 11 plate.

Both the three and five-door models have been given a facelift that includes more exciting and vibrant colours.

At the same time, the Oswestry and Newtown Vauxhall dealer has made a considerable investment in the bulk purchase of new cars from Vauxhall.

Nigel Williams, managing director of Arthurs, said: “This will allow us to give massive discounts — as much as 25 per cent — on many of the models with a guaranteed delivery for March.

“Advance interest in new cars for March has been extremely encouraging and we confidently expect our three-year-old Newtown dealership — if not Oswestry as well — to experience a new registration plate record.”

He said Vauxhall’s new Lifetime Warranty had given the brand a tremendous boost. “This is undoubtedly Vauxhall’s most successful new car initiative,” said Nigel.

“I think it is phenomenal and it has been very well received by public and press alike.

“The initiative has created unprecedented public confidence in the product and is bringing people into the showroom. The amount of business we have attracted from other makes is substantial.

“We were already number one in our market sector and the Vauxhall Lifetime Warranty has cemented that position. It confirms Vauxhall’s commitment to the product,” he added.

Vauxhall themselves say they are so confident in their quality and reliability that they are the first manufacturer in the UK to offer a warranty that can last a lifetime.

Available to the first owner of all new Vauxhall cars, it is valid for the lifetime of the vehicle up to a maximum of 100,000 miles.

Mr Williams said all Vauxhall warranties covered a huge range of vehicle parts —powertrain and steering, brakes, cooling, safety systems, air conditioning and electronic components.
