A huge Shrewsbury-based MINI dealership which began trading 18 months ago from a sleek state-of-the-art purpose-built black building, is going from strength to strength.

Rybrook MINI Shrewsbury’s eye-catching base on Featherbed Lane is the largest dealership on a road populated by them.

Business has grown so much since it opened that the branch has had to increase its staffing levels from four to 18 to cope with demand.

Part of the Rybrook Group, which has its HQ in Solihull, it has a “huge” nine car showroom, 50 used cars for sale on its website, and it has just expanded its service bay area. Sales of the new MINI Countryman, arriving in September, are doing very well.

MINI general manager, Ian Lockett said Rybrook MINI Shrewsbury also boasted one of the largest MINI frontages in the UK. He said: “Before there was a haulage company on this site. We knocked it all down and built this purpose-built showroom, which was a big investment and we’ve just invested a fortune in our workshop.”

Ian said the big advantage that the new site had was that as it was out of town, meaning it was easy for people to get to and park at, with plenty of local open roads to take a car out on a test drive.

“We are set in the countryside and it is easy access. We are only a 15 minute drive from Telford and people come to us from out of the area.

“The extended workshop now has five service bays and we have just taken on another two people there, so we now have five working down there. And sales are fantastic at the moment.”

Ian said that as Rybrook was such a big garage company people thought that they would be expensive for servicing, when this is far from the case.

Price match

In fact Rybrook MINI Shrewsbury Mini will price match any quote, although they only use genuine MINI parts. The group has service loan cars and three big parts departments.

Rybrook MINI Shrewsbury has fantastic offers for customers on servicing costs that are fully inclusive and include a free MINI valet. With a basic oil service costing only £69, this service may seem cheap, but all work is carried out by the garage’s fully qualified MINI technicians in the fully equipped MINI dealership.

Throughout 2010 Rybrook MINI Shrewsbury are offering customers an MoT for just £35. They will also wash and vacuum your MINI completely free of charge.

Customers can call the MINI service hotline on 01743 452350.

If you’ve had a bump then it’s time to call Rybrook MINI Shrewsbury’s bodyshop on 01743 457405.

The firm’s trained technicians are able to assist customers in getting their MINI sorted with as little fuss as possible. If the bump is not your fault they will be able to arrange another MINI replacement car so you are not stranded while they fix your MINI.

All the repair work is completed at their MINI approved bodyshop by their MINI approved technicians who have the latest technology and techniques to restore customer’s MINIs to their former glory. They also cater for annoying small scuffs, dents and wheel scuffs.

“We also have our MINI shop, with clothing and accessories and a pool table for customers while they wait,” said Ian. “We also have the best coffee in Shrewsbury!”

Ian said that Karen Jones had joined him from Rybrook’s BMW Shrewsbury site to help him, being employed as the service supervisor.

He added: “The MINI in general has always been attached to the BMW group. We’ve made a massive investment here to separate the MINI from the BMW.”

Is this an advertisement/promotion I see before me & not in the truest sense a ‘Story’? And will the Shropshire Star through this forum reply in it’s defense? I doubt it. Thats why this whole mini tale/maxi advert is worthy of cover in a few consumer mags that keep an eye on such hidden agendas.
