Christmas is coming faster than you can say Jingle Bells and as the festive season is associated with food, we’ve gathered some of the best sweet treats out there.

However, if you’re already worrying about having to share, you may be pleased to hear that the bits and bobs on our list are only concerned with making sweets and cakes of the large variety.

That means there’ll be plenty of goodies to go around your group, but don’t eat them all at once.

Teddy Boys – Giant Gummi Bear – £29.99 from www.firebox.com

This majestic, edible bear stands 24cm tall, weighs 2kg and is the equivalent to 1,400 regular Gummi Bears. Even the most-seasoned sweetie eaters among us will have their work cut out here. The bear comes in four flavours: Cola, orange, cherry and blue raspberry. If you have friends or family members with a penchant for wacky candy creations, this could be right up your street. But remember, take your time eating it.

Big Bake – Giant Cupcake Tin – £14.95 from www.prezzybox.com

This tin will help you bake massive, scrumptious cupcakes and it’s fair to say that most visitors will be well impressed if you serve up one you made earlier for afternoon tea when they call round. Also perfect for providing an original twist to birthdays, weddings, christenings and other celebrations, this giant tin will have you turning out cupcakes in no time at all. Fill up each side with cake mix and bake before removing and decorating – you’ll need extra icing and plenty of sprinkles to finish this one.

Big Baby – Giant Baby Jelly Mould – £7.95 from www.prezzybox.com

Everyone loves jelly, right? So imagine how thrilled both the big and little kids at home will be when you serve this giant jelly at the table. One of the great things about jelly is how effortless it’s to make – all you need to do is pour two packs of your favourite flavour into the mould and wait for it to set. This is perfect for kids’ birthday parties; just make sure you let it set properly before serving.

Planet Pop – Giant Chupa Chups Lollipop – £12.99 from www.drinkstuff.com

Memories of Chupa Chups lollies may well take you back to the days when you were much smaller, however this giant version of the lolly is also now all grown up. This beast is 75 times bigger than the average Chupa Chups lolly, and you would need longer than morning break or the walk home from school to finish it. The giant comes in the popular strawberry flavour, and is wrapped in the old-school Chupa Chups wrapper, ramping up the nostalgia even further.

Sugar Coated – Giant Doughnut Mould – £9.99 from www.firebox.com

Whether doughnuts bring to mind Homer Simpson or long walks with the family along the seafront, you’ll love this moulding kit. It provides you with three silicone trays and a decoration bottle to help you make your favourite doughnuts – all you have to decide is whether to go for a sugar glaze or a strawberry filling. Once you’ve assembled your treats, use the step-by-step baking guide included in the pack to achieve the perfect circular base.

Lottery Treat – Giant Gumball Machine – £3,299 from www.firebox.com

Coming in at 6.5ft tall and 3.5ft wide, this Giant Gumball Machine is going to make a statement wherever it ends up. The machine holds 20,000 regular gumballs, perfect if you have nightmares about running out of your favourite sweets! This gumball bank offers the ultimate in retro style and conjures up images of 1950s diners and kids drinking soda. Why not get a few friends over, play some old rock ‘n’ roll and hang around your latest centrepiece, issuing the gumballs via the machine’s stylish beaver mechanism?
