The search for Shropshire’s Face of the Future winners for 2011 officially launches today, with the hunt now on for the county’s most promising female and male style stars.

The Shropshire Star has once again joined forces with Telford Shopping Centre to run the competition which aims to find two new faces hoping to wow the modelling industry.

With the success of last year’s introduction of a new category for the boys, the battle of the sexes is on.

There will be a £150 spending spree for both winners, plus the opportunity to take part in at least six promotional events at Telford Shopping Centre as the official Face of the Future.

Entry deadline is Friday, December 3, when the judging panel will select 10 finalists – five boys and five girls.

Those who wish to enter must be aged over 16 and able to commit to being available on Wednesday, December 16 or Thursday, December 17 for a photoshoot.

All our finalists will take part in a glamorous Christmas eveningwear photoshoot which will help the judges to choose the eventual winners.

Tracy Hadley, marketing manager at Telford Shopping Centre, said the competition had proved very successful in previous years, producing winners of an extremely high standard, adding: “We are very much looking forward to running this competition again this year and to meeting the new Faces of the Future for 2011.”

Those who wish to take part can nominate themselves or readers can nominate someone who they think would be perfect for the role.
