You know how it is, you’ve had a long and tiring day at work and the only thing you want to do when you get home is crash out on the sofa. Takeaway, anyone? You’ve no need to order food in, though, when there are plenty of tasty free online chicken recipes to be found.

Like the sound of jerk chicken but you’re not a meat eater? Don’t worry; just substitute the chicken for some meat alternatives like Quorn or tofu. With the right herbs and spices, you’ll have a tasty mid-week meal in an instant.

You’ll need just over an hour to make the soup, but you could always prepare it a few days in advance and you’ll have enough to see you through the week. Take some to work and heat it up when you’re there to save your hard-earned cash.
All you’ll need to make this tasty soup is one tablespoon of olive oil, two medium onions (sliced), 450g carrots (diced), 900ml of vegetarian stock, 300ml orange juice, two teaspoons of Schwartz Coriander Ground, a pinch of Schwartz Cinnamon Ground, a pinch of sea salt, a large pinch of Schwartz Ground Black Pepper and one teaspoon of Schwartz Coriander Leaf.
This is a mouth-watering soup combining the delicious flavours of carrot and orange with a hint of cinnamon – the perfect mid-week snack or starter. To prepare, heat the oil and gently fry the onions over a low heat or until very soft. Add the carrots and fry for one to two minutes.
Next, stir in the stock, orange juice, ground cinnamon and simmer, covered, for 40 to 50 minutes or until the carrots are very tender. Finally, liquidise the soup to your desired consistency, season as you wish and serve garnished with coriander leaf and grated carrot.
