Ambulances and fire crew in Bridgnorth High Street

One stallholder who did not want to be named said: “I went over to my friend who had been shoved to the ground by the car.

“She was conscious and I just tended to her until the ambulance crew arrived.”

Councillor Val Gill, Mayor of Bridgnorth, said: “It’s a devastating thing to happen. I was shocked to hear it. There’s a sense of devastation. How can something like that happen on a Friday? I pray that everyone effected can make a recovery.”

Sounds just like a politician who is duty-bound to make an ” oh dear..what a shame.” statement – ‘How about ” Well isn’t it about time car parks were free for shoppers and the High Street pedestrianised” ????

So what is the Mayorsaying? It would be acceptable on a Tuesday?
