Paul Simpson watches the game unfold
Shrewsbury’s home game against Cheltenham Town ended in a 0-0 draw last night, but manager Paul Simpson insisted that his players would not stop trying.
“We won’t give up,” he said. “Others might have given up, but we have to keep believing and keep working.”
The draw followed Saturday’s win at Crewe, and although the side started well, Cheltenham were on attacking form.
“We’ve had to defend for our lives at times,” Simpson told the Shrewsbury Town website. “We’ve got another clean sheet and Dave Button has made some good saves.
“I just think that you have to take your chances, it’s as simple as that. We’ve had some fantastic chances tonight and if you don’t take them then you don’t get anything out of the game.

Four games left and at least 2 wins and a draw needed to even get into the last play off place – and that’s only if the teams above you are kind enough not to win any games.
Think its about time Simpson and STFC fans admit defeat and accept they will be league 2 for yet another season!

After the Crewe game I thought we had a real chance but after last nights bore I dont think we would be any good even if we did get into the playoffs.
