Hustings in your area

New hustings meetings have been organised across the county to give voters the chance to see their election hopefuls in action.
In Oswestry a meeting organised by the National Farmers’ Union will be held at The Pedigree pub on Shrewsbury Road on April 21, starting at 2.30pm.
North Shropshire seat candidates attending incl-ude sitting Conservative MP Owen Paterson, Labour’s Ian McLaughlan, Liberal Democrat Ian Croll and Sandra List from the UK Independence Party.
Voters in south Shropshire will see candidates in the Ludlow constituency go head-to-head tonight at an open meeting in Ludlow School.
All six parliamentary candidates have agreed to take part in the session, which starts at 7.30pm in the main school hall. The debate has been organised by Ludlow 21 and Churches Together around Ludlow. The panel will face questions submitted prior to the event.
On Thursday Shrewsbury Senior Citizens Forum will be quizzing local candidates at an open meeting at the Barnabas Centre, Longden Coleham, at 10am. Anyone over 55 is welcome to attend.
Forum secretary, Ann Wilde, said: “Each candidate will have the opportunity to speak and will also be exp-ected to answer questions.”
