Consultation begins over relief road

Tuesday 13th April 2010, 8:42AM BST.

Public consultation began today on controversial plans to build Shrewsbury’s controversial £102 million North West Relief Road.

The proposal is to build the road to ease traffic in the town centre and in rural communities west of the town.

The consultation period, which runs until May 14, will aim to give residents a chance to view the details of the project.

People will be encouraged to e-mail nwrr.consultation@shropshire.gov.uk or call 0345 678 9006.
