Barely a week into the general election and Telford has already seen its second political heavyweight roll into town.
The Telford seat – the last remaining Labour hold in the county – is a key player in this year’s general election.
Following Conservative MP and shadow cabinet member Ken Clarke’s visit to Oakengates on Thursday, Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling swept into Stafford Park yesterday – them same day he played a key part in unveiling the Labour party manifesto.
