Also amazed was Gareth Thomas, of Trefonen Road, Oswestry, who took a picture of the impressive aircraft.

He said: “Balloons are qu-ite often tested or launched in the early morning and I’ve seen a large pink cake overhead and on one occasion, in mid-summer, a Fa-ther Christmas drift past.”

Caroline Sanger-Davies, spokeswoman for Oswestry-based Lindstrand Balloons, confirmed it was behind the release of the huge motorbike balloon, commissioned by George White Motorbikes, and the balloon would be at British Superbike events throughout the year.

    Looks like ‘art’ to me. Pity the Darwin cement turkey twizzler wasn’t inflatible, still, at least it’s a turkey I suppose.
